Lee is a lifelong Kansan. First elected to the board of trustees in 2013, Lee currently serves as Treasurer.
Lee is a seventh generation resident of Johnson County, yet his entire family were once immigrants. Lee is a graduate of the University of Kansas, with a degree in Political Science and Psychology, and interned in the Dole Institute of Politics. In 2007, Lee graduated from UMKC Law School in Kansas City.
Lee has been in private practice focusing on civil litigation, agriculture law, and family law. In 2010, Lee founded Cross Law Firm, LLC, and continues to own and operate his own business. Lee is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and Johnson County Bar Association as well as the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce.
Lee has been an active member of his community. He and his family attend Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, where Lee serves on the Board of Directors of Asbury Children's Center and previously on the Leadership Team, Staff Parish Relations Committee, and Church and Society committees.
Cross also serves on the board of Boy Scouts of America--Shawnee Trails District, Institute of Kansas Forensic Examiners, and is a member of the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce.
Lee and his wife Jennifer have a daughter, Maria, a son, Lucas and live in Overland Park.
